Sea Alarm granted observer status at HELCOM

Sea Alarm are delighted to have been granted observed official observer status at HELCOM, which was agreed at the Helsinki Commission meeting in Helsinki on 4-5 March 2010.

Observer status formally recognises Sea Alarm as an organisation which has specialised expertise relevant to the objectives of the Helsinki Convention and that it can contribute to matters dealt with by HELCOM. This will allow Sea Alarm to continue and strengthen its valued cooperation with the HELCOM Response group in promoting oiled wildlife response preparedness in the Baltic region. Sea Alarm are very grateful to HELCOM for this privilege and look forward to working together in the future.
